RAISIN HECK STEALS THE VICTORY IN NICKEL SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT

The Nickel Softball Tournament originally scheduled to be played Friday July 11 but was cancelled after the first game due to weather was re-scheduled and played on Friday July 18.  There was a total of 6 teams competing in tournament.  The 3 teams that played the first game on July 11 were Natty Lites, Rasta Squad, and !.  Natty Lites took the victory 8 to 1 to 0 to move on to the championship game.  The 3 teams that played in the second game on July 18 were Raisin Heck, Kappa Sigma, and Maldito Sanganos.  Maldito Sanganos took the victory of that game with 11 to 2 to 1 to advance to the championship game.  Also getting to advance to the championship game was Raisin Heck due to their team scoring the most amount of runs out of the 4 losing teams with 2 runs.  Facing off in the championship was Natty Lites, Maldito Sanganos, and Raisin Heck.  The underdogs Raisin Heck took the win in the Championship game with 6 runs over Maldito Sanganos who had 5 runs and Natty Lites who had 2 runs.  Congratulations to all the teams! GOOD AT BADMINTON

 

Congratulations to Adeel Bhutta and Ashok Khanal of "Team First" for winning the Comp Badminton Doubles title with a 2-0 win in the finals over Team Black. The Rec Title went to Tom Eaton and Cesar Mendoza, who took out Goodminton 2-0 as well in the 18 team, two division event held at the RWC. Click here for photos of our winners.
 

NATCH TOPS GOLF SCRAMBLE

Congratulations to [NATCH] for winning the 2 person golf scramble on Friday, June 6 at the Country Club at Deer Run. NATCH finished with a score of seven under par. Also, congratulations to [Chase Bernstein] for the longest drive and Jeremy Whittacker for his shot that was closest to the pin.

B GRADES KICK THEIR WAY TO THE TOP

The 2008 Intramural Kickball Tournament was held on Saturday, April 12 at the RWC Turn Fields. In the championships game, B Grades defeated Goobers by a score of 5-4. Congratulations to [B Grades] and thanks to all teams who participated!

FUTURE FOOTBALL STARS WIN QUARTERBACK CHALLENGE

Six winners proved their football skills on Friday, March 21 at the IM Turf Fields. Andy Smith and Matthew Gowin tied as overall winners. Basem Elkhatib won the accuracy portion of the challenge with a total score of 29 points. Johnny Addison won the obstacle portion with a time of 13.1 seconds. Michael LaManna threw the farthest with a total of 59 yards.  Krysteena Mallard was the overall winner in the women's division.

WIN DISC GOLF TOURNAMENT

The 2008 Disc Golf tournament was held on Saturday, March 1 at the new Disc Golf course in the UCF Arboretum. Bryon Gilbert and Sean Bokee defeated Arthur Hickman and Ben Yoakum to be crowned the Intramural Disc Golf Champion for 2008.

CRAQUES AND BALLERINAS REIN AS CHAMPS
OF THE 3 ON 3 SOCCER TOURNAMENT

CRAQUES and the Ballerinas won the first ever 3 on 3 Soccer championship on Saturday, February 23, 2008 in their respective divisions. In the men's division final, CRAQUES defeated Shake N Bake and in the women's division, Ballerinas defeated knightstrikers in a best 2 of 3 series. The winning teams received tickets to the March 7th Orlando Sharks game at Amway Arena against the Detroit Ignition.

KISS IT REINS CHAMPION OF BOCCE BALL TOURNAMENT

Ryan Palanza & William Wharton of Kiss It defeated South Florida by a score of 7-5 in the championship game of the Bocce Ball tournament on Saturday, Feb. 9 at the RWC Park. We would like to thank the 20 teams who came out and participated in the tournament. Congratulations Ryan and William!

SPORTS TRIVIA GOES WELL FOR 'WINNING TEAM'
