There are different ways to sign up for an Intramural Sport...

- If you are signing up a full team (you are the captain and are registering a complete roster) click on the sport name below.

-  If you are signing up for an individual event (an event like wrestling, where all you need is yourself) click on the sport name below.

- If you don't have enough people to form a team or would like to join an existing team, skip to the free agent section at the bottom of the page and read the instructions.

Co-Rec Flag Football A rendition of flag football where teams are made up of 4 men and 4 women. A six week season followed by a single elimination tournament will take place. 9/1/09 9/14-11/17 9/2/09 at 7 p.m. in RWC 206
7 on 7 Flag Football A team sport that offers leagues for women and men. A six week season followed by a single elimination tournament will take place. 9/1/09 9/14-11/17 9/2/09 at 12 p.m. in the Ferrell Auditorium
Basketball A team sport that offers leagues for women and men. A six week season followed by a single elimination tournament will take place. 9/1/09 9/14-11/17 9/4/09 at 12 p.m. in the Ferrell Auditorium
Golf Scramble A 4 person golf scramble held at Wedgfield 9/1/09 9/11/09 9/8/09 at 12 p.m. in RWC 206
Tennis Ladder The Tennis Ladder consists of weekly singles or double matches where players of similar skill levels are ranked and paired up for matches 9/3/09 9/14-11/30 9/4/09 at 2 p.m. in the Ferrell Auditorium
Flag Football Overtime Challenge A challenge for teams to find out who would fare well if overtime was necessary. Teams will play ONLY overtime based on the flag football rules procedures 9/8/2009 9/12/09 None

 

Important Information about divisions of play:

Men’s/Women's Competitive (A&B) Division: Teams that are very organized and prefer to compete at the highest skill level, with both a focus on recreational opportunity as well as competitive results. In Men’s leagues, “A” division teams are generally more experienced with skill throughout roster while “B” division teams are of a lesser caliber with similar goals.

Men’s/Women’s Recreational Division: Teams that are playing for the recreational benefits, with winning and losing not a priority. Teams that are playing for fun with results being an added byproduct.

Open Division: Team roster has no gender restriction and may be composed of any number of male and female participants.

Co-Rec Division: Team roster must consist of both male and female participants, with rules modifications and roster restrictions reflected in the rules of each sport.

Please note that in divisions listed as Men's or Women's divisions, teams may not have members of the opposite gender on their team roster as this is only permitted in open or co-rec divisions.

IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT REGISTRATION DEADLINES: Due to the popularity of some leagues and events, a limited number of spaces may be available. While advertised deadlines are the latest a team can sign up, registration prior to the deadline does not guarantee a team or individual a spot in an intramural event. For all team sports, priority is based on the order of registration on a first come, first served basis as well as attendance at the mandatory captain's meeting for that sport. Teams may be placed on a waiting list for an event if space is limited. In some instances, registration may close prior to the advertised deadlines when the number of registered teams for that event reaches capacity.
