Free agency is the best way to sign up
for a sport if you aren't able to form an entire team.
Please read the IM Team Captain's guide
prior to joining a team to make sure you understand all eligibility
guidelines. Only currently enrolled UCF Students and Faculty/Staff who have
a membership may participate in Intramural Sports and players may only
participate on one team.

OPTION A: THE FREE AGENT MESSAGE BOARD
This board will allow students to register in a message board format
to allow them to describe themselves to teams looking for players or
other free agents who would like to organize a team, or for one day
tournaments and special events.
Team
captains that need players can read the board and find new players.
Students will also be able to delete their listing when they find a team.
OPTION B:
LISTING OF ALL FREE AGENT MEETINGS
Has the season already started
for the sport you are interested in? Were you not contacted by any
teams? Attend our meetings that take place near each major league
sport's sign-up deadline. If you do not attend
a free agent meeting, we cannot guarantee you a spot on a team. We
will do our best to assist you!

HERE'S HOW FREE AGENCY WORKS...
Here's Christopher (the season hasn't started yet)

- Christopher can't convince any of his friends to play Flag Football. So Chris is
looking for a team.
-
Chris visits the Intramural Free Agent section online
prior to the start of
the season.
- Chris reads that the Free Agent meeting is located in the RWC
upcoming.
- Chris attends the
meeting with about 40 other free agents, and the Intramural Staff groups players based on
what day they want to play on.
-
Chris joins a men's recreational team that plays on
Fridays, and is all set.
OR
Here's Michael (the season has already
started)

- Michael can't convince any of his friends to play Basketball.
So Michael is looking for a team.
-
Michael visits the Intramural Free Agent section online,
after the registration deadline for basketball.
-
Michael posts on the message board as a free agent for basketball.
His info is listed on the available
player database.
-
Dion is a captain of a team that plays on Wednesday nights. Dion emails Michael and asks him if he has found a team.
- Since Michael can
only play on one team and Wednesdays works for him, he calls Dion back and agrees to join his team.
-
Michael shows up for
Dion's next game and is added to the official team roster by the Intramural Supervisor.
