NO LONGER THE UNDERDOGS

During the Comp Championship, the Underdogs won an intense first game 25-17, but the Playaz showed they came to compete with a few amazing blocks. In game two the Playaz took the lead early and never looked back. A late rally by the Underdogs caused for an exciting game, but the Playaz held on to the lead and won the second game 27-25. But, it was in the 3rd game that the hard spiking Underdogs clinched the championship in an impressive win of 15-4.

ADD THEM TO THE "HIT" LIST

The Rec Final volleyball match was action packed as Seeyounextthursday and Hit List competed for the title. The intensity picked up as there were diving digs and high flying kills all over the court. Ultimately Hit List prevailed in the duel of the titans 2-0 winning both games 25-13.

VOLLEYBALL BRACKETS RELEASED

The 2009 Summer 4 on 4 Volleyball brackets have now been released. Remember that no team can add new players to their roster during the post-season tournament.

TOURNAMENT DEADLINE APPROACHING

Thursday, June 25th is the deadline for all teams to ensure their spot in the post-season tournament. Please make sure that you have added any eligible players to your roster, paid any forfeit fees your team may have, and put in requests to change divisions if desired by this date. Also, if you know that your team will be unavailable for the tournament you need to inform the League Coordinator of this by Thursday, June 25th to ensure that you are not included in the playoff bracket.

SCHEDULE POSTED FOR SUMMER VOLLEYBALL

The Summer Volleyball schedule is now posted online. Games begin on Thursday, June 4th to kick off the five week season! Please remember to bring your UCF student ID in order to play and arrive early to ensure you are there before game time.

IMPORTANT ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION

  • Students that are enrolled in Spring 2009 and are registered for Fall 2009 but not taking any summer classes can pay $50 to use RWC and play IM.

  • Students that are taking Summer B classes but not Summer A must pay the $50 if they want to play during Summer A. They will be refunded the $50 if they enroll in Summer B. If they have already paid for Summer B classes, then they do not need to pay.

  • Students that graduate in Spring 2009 may not pay $50 to play in the Summer unless they have been accepted into grad school at UCF.

  • Students from other universities that live in Orlando may pay $50 to use RWC but may NOT play IM sports.

  • Students that take Summer A classes can continue to play during Summer B even if they don't take Summer B classes.
